Beachfront bliss with great staff
Waking up to the sound of gentle waves and the aroma of delicious breakfasts was pure magic. The team felt like extended family, making every moment special.
Our room wasn’t as soundproof as hoped, with restaurant noise at times disrupting the peaceful vibe, especially during peak hours. Water supply could be better too.

Waking up to the sound of gentle waves was bliss.
Despite asking for help, the management seemed indifferent and the issue persisted. the breakfast coffee situation was ridiculous, with no brewed coffee available and exorbitant charges for what should have been complimentary.

The room had a stunning sea view that was a perfect way to wake up each morning, and the beach access made it effortless to enjoy the ocean. The cozy atmosphere made it feel like home away from home.
The bed in my room broke during my stay, which could have been a serious issue given it was held together by only one wooden strut. There were some maintenance concerns too, like a leaking sink and a shower that was improperly designed—right next to the toilet, leading to wet floors. Breakfast options could become monotonous after a few days as they lacked variety.

The Marea Boutique in Jambiani has an unbeatable location right by the beach, allowing for easy walks to both Paje and Jambiani. I loved the peaceful atmosphere and the welcoming vibe of the staff. they truly went the extra mile to ensure a pleasant stay. For instance, I was surprised when they served breakfast later than the official time because I had gone diving early in the morning. Such thoughtful gestures really made a difference! The food was fresh and varied, especially with an abundance of fruits and vegetables. I appreciated having a diving school right next to the hotel and a kite surfing school just a short walk away. the room could benefit from a few improvements, especially regarding sound insulation. I noticed some noise from the restaurant during peak hours, which occasionally disturbed the otherwise tranquil vibe. Still, it’s hard to overlook the charm of waking up to the soothing sound of waves and the delightful breakfasts. I had a memorable stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy spot in Zanzibar.

good but could improve
The atmosphere was inviting, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure comfort. I especially loved the fresh meals, particularly the seafood offerings, which were a delightful highlight. Waking up to the soothing sounds of the ocean was a treat that made every morning special. The sea view from my room added an extra dose of relaxation, making it a perfect scenic escape.
Some noise was noticeable during busy restaurant hours, which could disrupt the peaceful ambiance.

Solo traveler paradise
I stayed for 7 nights and the spot is amazing pieceful you really can feel at home. The staff were friendly and went above and beyond like when I returned from diving they served me breakfast late and that was really high appreciated. The diving school next to the hotel is a plus, made it super easy to get into the water.
It wasn't exactly cheap but still acceptable for what you get.

Warm & Inviting Atmosphere
I had a fabulous 6-night stay with my friend, where the staff's infectious smiles truly brightened our days. Their attention to detail was impressive, especially with the daily room cleaning and those charming towel creations. Breakfast was fantastic, especially thanks to a cheerful host who always greeted us warmly. The pizza for lunch was an absolute highlight, probably the best I've ever tasted! The only downside was that some areas felt a bit quieter, but that made for a peaceful getaway.

marea boutique hotel was super chill, right on the beach, and the staff were really friendly like a family. they did everything to make us comfy, including serving breakfast later for us, loved that! amazing fresh foods and a cute dog around made it even better. had a blast with my friends lounging by the pool and we found it easy to walk to other places nearby. overall, it was a peaceful escape.
the room could've been a lil more soundproof for a better sleep. also, the restaurant noise during busy hours was a bit annoying.
